her: PB&J cupcakes
we don’t eat white bread. or very much processed food either (super snotty, i know)… BUT, when i want a PB&J sandwich… ALL i want is some good ol’ white bread. creamy peanut butter and some strawberry jam. equal parts PB&J please.
these cupcakes are literally a PB&J sandwich. you’ll feel like you’re 5 all over again-in the best way possible.

her: vegan & gluten free banana/blueberry cupcakes
this was my first time making vegan & gluten free cupcakes. vegan cupcakes i’m okay with. gluten free was a little bit of an adventure. i had to make 2 batches of these cupcakes. not going to lie. first batch was pretty much an EPIC fail.
2nd batch=much better :)
i made about a dozen & a half for an amazing commitment ceremony for an even more amazing couple who we would like...
her: peach & blackberry galette
another galette. what can i say? i’m pretty much in love with the flaky dough, sprinkles of beautiful sugar and the amazing fruit. this recipe calls for nectarines, but i only had peaches. yummmm.
i made this for my brother’s birthday. he’s not a huge sweets fan but he super hearted this. it’s just sweet enough without being too much.
enjoy!

It’s supposed to be summer here in Washington state. But the weather seems to think otherwise with a ridiculous downpour today and it’s been like that all week! I don’t care though, I’m still going to cook like it’s a blazin’ yet refreshing 85 degrees (cuz let’s be honest, anything over 75 degrees in WA is a heatwave lol).
So i just made a little...
her: banana chocolate chip cupcakes
i heart banana cupcakes. they’re always delicious and you can have them for breakfast. yes, i said breakfast. anything with bananas equals breakfast in my house. even if that anything includes frosting and mini chocolate chips ;)

His: Brunch Burger
We went to the Farmer’s Market this weekend and had a blasty blast of a time! We only spent $40 and purchased so many awesome things! Part of our sweet loot was local free-range, grass-fed burgers, local lettuce and chipotle & tomato sheep cheese. We also got a boatload of other things which my lady used to maker her delicious galette.
By the time we got back, it was brunch time so I...
her: mixed berry galette
here’s the great thing about a galette… it’s supposed to rustic and natural. no fussiness… just amazing, buttery, flaky dough and delish berries (or whatever else suits your fancy). we picked up some organic berries (blueberries, strawberries and raspberries) from the farmers market this morning. screamin’ good deal and they’re some kind of beautiful. sweet,...
His: Penne a la Paolo
So we’ve been eating vegetarian during the week to save money to buy better, natural and organic meat for the weekends. In doing so, I made this delectable dish. It’s just a little somethin’ I made after my lady showed me a blog that featured a dish similar to this but we couldn’t find it again and we didn’t know the name of the dish. If you’re that person,...
her: red velvet mini
i made mini red velvet cupcakes over the weekend. anything mini automatically becomes extra super cute. plus, they were the prettiest red velvet red and they had rainbow sprinkles. basically they’re love in a cupcake. and delish.
you should make them too. like, right now. <3

His: Bourbon & Brown Sugar Ribs
Just a little somethin’ I put together with things from the fridge. I saw a rack of baby back pork ribs and thought it would be a good idea. I created a basic barbecue sauce with a little extra brown sugar and tossed in a shot (or two lol) of Jim Beam. It adds a really amazing flavor for sure. Then I grilled these bad boys for about 2.5-3 hrs at around 250 degrees and just let it sit...
her: homemade blueberry pie
my first pie… from scratch! it’s a little “rustic” looking, but i think that gives it some character. it wasn’t as intimidating as i thought it was going to be, but still a little stressful. i hope it tastes as good as it smells.
